Icy Treats

Icy Treats For Your Cats.

In the last few weeks here in sunny California I find myself and my clowder  (term used to describe a pack of cats) unable to sleep due to the sweltering heat and lack of air conditioning in my apartment. So I sit there and try to think of ways that I can not only cool myself down but also ways to cool my furry friends.  I then came up with a few simple yet tasty recipes that will satisfy even the most finicky of cats.

Tuna Pops

A very simple and easy treat to make. All you need is:
  • Ice Tray
  • Can of Tuna
  • Water (optional can substitute for fish juice)
First you must open the can of course, but DO NOT DRAIN the juice. Take the juice and mix it with enough water to fill the tray. Mix the water and tuna juice well. Fill the ice tray with the juice. Once the tray is filled you can take some of the tuna and drop some chunks in each capsule for a very fishy surprise your cat will love. Freeze for a few hours and make sure its frozen all the way through before serving your pet.
(NOTE: you can use any type of fish or fish juice)
